Chasing a Bat

Last month I spent 3 weeks in the cottage with Revital and the 2 kids. The cottage is a.k.a the lake house because it is located beside a lake. The most part of it was built with tree logs and the rest were stones and woods. It is surrounded with a lot of trees and plants where all you hear are birds chirping, crickets, bats, etc.. When I was there it reminded me of the province where I grew up.

One day we found bat poops in the room above the kitchen where nobody uses. I tried to check if theres a bat inside the house but I found nothing. Then one night while were having dinner and the girls were watching tv, they ran to us and said that a bat is flying inside the house. As nervous as I am I went and chase the bat until I end up in the room where we saw their poops. I looked around and in one corner of the ceiling I saw the bat.Im really scared especially when the bat moves around and flies on top of me. As always I convinced myself that I can do it so I asked for a plastic bag and grabbed a shirt to put in my hand so I wont feel the bat when I grab it from the ceiling while it is resting. Went on top of the chair and though I was shaking I was able to catch it and finally sent it outside. That was a really fun and scary experience that I will never forget.

Random Thoughts...

Have you ever felt the feeling of being at the edge of a cliff as if you are about to fall but then there's a certain force that's pulling you up?Have you ever felt the feeling of being alone that no matter how many people surrounds you, the emptiness is still dragging you?

Well, what I'm trying to say is I'm experiencing all these things right now and I don't know how to get out of it. Ive known myself as a survivor. Ive been through a lot of things in the past and I survived all of it, but now I'm thorn apart and I don't know where to start to pick up the pieces. I dont want to entertain the thought of having regrets but somehow I do.

Fall season

I went here wishing everything will be smooth as planned but I was wrong.
Life here is HARD, you gotta be brave and smart. Time is very important.
Its a totally different world not to mention the weather differences which is really a burden for me. I can say that Im pretty Independent back home but being Independent here is another thing. I learned that no one can help me except myself. I need to be tough or else ill be drowned by my frustrations. Nevertheless, I met few people who always stand by me whenever I feel like giving up, which already happend several times. I even started to feel numb about everything, but they were ere so patient of giving me advices and encouragements because they all went to this stage that Im going through right now.

Its just so funny how pictures can hide the real feelings I have inside.

2008: A year I would never exchange for anything else..:)

Early this year I met someone whom I never thought will be my best friend, my companion, my morning dose of inspiration,my medication for depression and angst,my source of joy,my guardian angel, my critic, my sports partner, my exercise nagger, my out of town buddy and the guy who’s not hesitant to tell me my imperfections and most of all my TEE.
Everything happened so fast, we went thru a lot of roller coasters but those times made our relationship much more stronger until I needed to leave for Canada.

These are some of our memories together.

My Surprise despedida

My 2008 might not be so perfect but finding my perfect match made it extraordinary.
Waking up in the morning without him by my side is a torture. It was 8 months of spending most of my time with him and suddenly I'm alone..its so hard.

I might be having a lot of struggles from where I am now,but whenever I look at this pictures and reminisce every single moment I had with him, with friends and our families all of these makes me strong and gives me the courage to move on...

I'm ending my 2008 with sorrow but hoping that 2009 will bring me happiness and success.

Thanks for all the good memories of 2008.

WATER OR COKE?

Eye Opening Information!
This is really an eye opener.... Water or Coke? We all know that water is important but I've never seen it written down like this before.
WATER
1. 75% of Americans are chronically dehydrated.
2. In 37% of Americans, the thirst mechanism is so weak that it is often mistaken for hunger.3. Even MILD dehydration will slow down one's metabolism as much as 3%.
4. One glass of water will shut down midnight hunger pangs for almost 100% of the dieters studied in a University of Washington study.
5. Lack of water, the #1 trigger of daytime fatigue.
6. Preliminary research indicates that 8-10 glasses of water a day could significantly ease back and joint pain for up to 80% of sufferers.
7. A mere 2% drop in body water can trigger fuzzy short-term memory, trouble with basic math, and difficulty focusing on the computer screen or on a printed page.
8. Drinking 5 glasses of water daily decreases the risk of colon cancer by 45%, plus it can slash the risk of breast cancer by 79%, and one is 50% less likely to develop bladder cancer.
9. If you have chronic headaches or migraines, suck down a 20oz bottle of water at the onset!!! It helps to lessen the pain (if you follow that with Gatorade or Pedialite it will help even more!!)
And now for the properties of Coke:
1. In many states (in the USA ) the highway patrol carries two gallons of Coke in the truck to remove blood from the highway after a car accident.
2. You can put a T-bone steak in a bowl of Coke and it will be gone in two days.
3. To clean a toilet: Pour a can of Coca-Cola into the toilet bowl and let the "real thing" sit for one hour, then flush clean. The citric acid in Coke removes stains from porcelain and china.
4. To remove rust spots from chrome car bumpers: Rub the bumper with a rumpled-up piece of Reynolds Wrap aluminum foil dipped in Coca-Cola.
5. To clean corrosion from car battery terminals: Pour a can of Coca-Cola over the terminals to bubble away the corrosion.
6. To loosen a rusted bolt: Applying a cloth soaked in Coca-Cola to the rusted bolt for several minutes.
7. To bake a moist ham: Empty a can of Coca-Cola into the baking pan, wrap the ham in aluminum foil, and bake. Thirty minutes before the ham is finished, remove the foil, allowing the drippings to mix with the Coke for sumptuous brown gravy.
8. To remove grease from clothes: Empty a can of Coke into a load of greasy clothes, add detergent, and run through a regular cycle. The Coca-Cola will help loosen grease stains.
9. It will also clean road haze from your windshield.
For Your Info:
1. The active ingredient in Coke is phosphoric acid. Its pH is 2.8. It will dissolve a nail in about 4 days. Phosphoric acid also leaches calcium from bones and is a major contributor to the rising increase in osteoporosis.
2. To carry Coca-Cola syrup (the concentrate) the commercial truck must use the Hazardous material place cards reserved for highly corrosive materials.
3. The distributors of Coke have been using it to clean the engines of their trucks for about 20 years!

Now the question is...
Would you like a Coke or a glass of water?

Shadow

We always have a companion in life
It won't leave us alone
That is our shadow
a constant companion
it fills me with delight to have a shadow
aside from my own
for a moonlit night never fails to locate thee
and it completes my world
that's no surprise.
